As a follow up to Peter’s reply, if the notice period at the old address has been deemed an overpayment, you must consider the unavoidability of it in order for UE to be applied.
I am, btw, solidly behind the idea of it being an official error to have processed a COA without considering the possibility/inviting details of any unavoidable liability.
