I though that claiming UC ended pension creit in much the same way as it should end HB – the two benefits are (generally) incompatable – its one or the other.
Applying for UC is enough to end the HB – and they cant come back to HB just because they didnt qualify for UC.
However, if pension credit has been paid throughout then HB can be reinstated I think ( becuase pension credit was one of the exceptions to a MAC having to claim UC)
