I think 68 is far too high. Fortunately I was able to take a pension lump sum at 60 from the Council scheme.

My old boss worked far too long. She had loads of plans to travel but passed away too early after retirement.

That’s the worry isn’t it. I travelled extensively when I was much younger and have continued to do so. Nevertheless I would like a retirement which constituted a long period of both not working and good health and that seems less likely by the day.
