Having looked at this particular case further I am more convinced that the use of LND was incorrect as the total average income covers a period from 8/10/22 but applied from 17/12/22. The justification from the assessor was that “if the customer had provided the payslip on the 27/1/23 we would allow it because of the effective date”. Whilst this is true it is the fact that the average taken from VEP includes weeks of pay outside this effective date that makes this particular assessment incorrect in my eyes.
