DFA Reg 2 (1) refers to ‘entitled to’ HB or a relevant award of UC (ie UC HCE).CPAG analysis defines ‘relevant award of UC’ as ‘an award of UC the calculation of which includes a housing costs element’. So, you are all good, in terms of your customers UC including HCE, and you are convinced she has some need for ‘further financial assistance’ with housing costs, but……does she have an AWARD of UC???
