Another update today. Home REIT is a specialist social housing investor and provider of housing and one of the biggest companies in the U.K. only 23 per cent of rent was paid last month because of bankruptcy by tenants (housing associations in this case) and rent being withheld. I wonder how much HB is being paid over to either bankrupt associations or those associations that are not paying the landlord.
I guess a lot. I reckon a lot of HB is being lost although the tenants will not be affected. It is not the type of question a council would ask. Are you bankrupt or withholding rent. Maybe to a tenant but not to a housing association. No wonder DWP and / or the government are jumping up and down!
