For submitting HB appeals to HMCTS there is no email facility for LAs. There are email addresses for general contact – they use it for issuing decision notices and directions – but it is the ‘public’ email rather than a dedicated LA contact. Submissions still have to go by post, probably because they are very large files and might overwhelm an email server, I don’t know. Maybe just that it’s always been that way and hasn’t yet been updated. Also, for hearings in person, which have recently restarted, the Judge and appellant need a printed copy of the papers, and sending by email would put the cost of doing that on HMCTS and the appellant, who might not have the facility. Even so, the Valuation Tribunal will only accept emailed submissions as PDFs or Word documents, so…
