I thought there was a quite old caselaw saying that if someone is treated as occupying if they are in hospital and waiting to be discharged if there have moved their goods and chattels in – so the only thing missing is them.
No need for them to spend a night in the property – we allow up to 4 weeks prior to the actual occupation date ( hence why its can only be paid retrospectively)
