Does it not count as compensation for personal injury, so disregarded by Sch6(17) of the pensioner regs? I’m not certain, but that seems to fit to me. Unlike working age cases where there is a 52 week limit if not put in a trust (Sch6(14)), the disregard is permanent for pensioners.
