you can only pay from the exact tenancy start date in the following circumstances
new Claim – if the customer becomes Liable AND moves in AND makes a claim (or is treated as making a claim) inm the same benefit week ( which run Monday to Sunday)
Change of address – you pay the old address up to the date before they vacated (any day of the week) and pay the new address from the day they moved into that address
With your claim, the tenancy stat date and the date moved in are not in the same benefit week – so the usual Monday after rules kick in – so unless theres specific reasons HB is payable prior to moving in, your start date will be monday 10 April
