A credit to the rent account doesnt reduce the rent charge though – just because the landlord is charging £100 rent and then credit £1 toweards an ineligible cost doesnt reduce the eligible rent.
You know what the £1 credit is for and know its in respect of a utility bill which isnt elgible for HB – so Im not sure why /how you’ve come to the conclusion that £1 credit for personal use electricty reduces the eligible rent
I agree it would do if it were for commumal area electricity, cos thats an eligible charge – but this doesnt appear to be an eleigible chage so doesnt affect the eleigible rent
