I ask a lot of questions about leases and they should be able to answer them, too bad if they don’t like it. It shows due diligence on our part and I have found some strange things on leases such as being sent the lease (twice) for a property with the same name but in a different area (turned out it was just a clerical error (but quite worrying), an extra unit being added on increasing the overall cost, rent free weeks being included (did challenge this to say it’s a duplication of void charges not sure it is but they agreed to remove it). also use it to check on any connections with the companies / provider etc. Bottom line though is it inflates rents but we often end up paying it.
