Not sure I’d be concerned with judging whether something is a slap in the face or not. Nothing to the point and entirely subjective and judgemental.
People get into debt for all sorts of reasons. Many are beyond their control. Similarly, arrangements fail for many reasons and again that might be labelled as a debtor issue but there could be all sorts of complexity behind that. There is nothing simple about applying for a DRO either. Far from it.
