Reply To: Goodbye HBinfo!

A funny update although also known as what a small world. So when mwigg posted this I knew little about Shanklin. Easy to get to …ferry from Portsmouth then an old London Underground train now running overground on the Island Line. A year or so after this post I went to Shanklin with my wife and youngest to see the Chine. A wonderful sight in the evening. So while I was there I noticed a studio for sale in Shanklin at what seemed a crazy low price. Well it stank of damp and the electrics….80 to 100 years old and well…you get the picture. A real state. Been empty and almost abandoned for many years. Bought as a holiday home I would guess about 25 years ago. I ended up buying it and work started this year. Looking loads better now and will soon make someone a nice home at a very reasonable rent a bit below hb levels. The studio just happens to be 60 yards from the mwigg B and B…yes I stayed there without realising who the couple were but they recognised me. Still waiting for my Hbinfo discount mind you!!!
