We amended our DHP policy to only allow one weeks rent in advance for RSL tenants – still get plenty of requests but never had anyone not getting the tenancy. My experience is that the RSL's will accept the one week in advance and then set up a payment plan with the tenant for the other weeks if required.

I understand this is UC related and the RSL want to keep their rent accounts in credit ready for the claimant moving to UC or at least  but I do not feel this is what DHP is intended for in my opinion.
