The information from the DWP investigation is the capital balance is still in excess of £19,000.00 which is the amount of capital I used in the original calculation… he still has the capital so still has no entitlement to HB. If I leave the £19,000.00 on the system he has no entitlement to HB which he shouldn't have. So, I should really reassess it with the new capital amounts for each 13 week period which would then create an underpayment whcih would reduce the balance of the overpayment and keep the decision notices correct and subsidy. Just what I need to get me benefits brain working after Christmas…
