One of the major problems have is that unemployment is at a 42 year LOW. Ditto, immigration is falling as Europeans are leaving the UK in droves.
Nothing better for a Minister in party conferences, the press etc than to state
“we are cracking down on (insert here)”.
Trouble is, where are these scroungers who sit at home all day? There are some of course but the figures indicate less so than in the history of the Welfare State.
So the 22’s were a target…..but that is not working either!
