This is starting to remind me of the discussion that often pops up on forums devoted to the Unspeakable Vice (Steam Trains) was loco X a rebuild or actually a completley new machine (answer, it usually was) – Vale of Rheidol No 9 being probably one of the most discussed

The bottom line however it seems to me is that your claimant has a liability to pay rent, and unless there is anything that might raise a particular issue about entitlement, eg the property they are decanted to has more bedrooms my view is not to worry.

It could of course be argued especially if the vacated property is either in a very poor condition, or has significant structural issues that the only option was to demolish & rebuild, might that constitute 'essential repairs?'

Annual income twenty pounds, annual expenditure nineteen nineteen and six, result happiness. Annual income twenty pounds, annual expenditure twenty pounds ought and six, result misery. The blossom is blighted, the leaf is withered, the god of day goes down upon the dreary scene, and—and in short you are for ever floored.
