per the recent announcement in LAWD8 r.e. the UC Conversational Platform – is this the first AI encroachment into the DWP workspace? (ignoring the ‘stupid’ AI e.g. data matching etc).

Good grief no. Lots of similar stuff going on across the board with DWP. 100% staff turnover on things like PIP telephony so the answer is already bots driven by ML there etc. Then we have the fraud detection algorithms. No-one knows how they work; what the inbuilt biases are but they’ll use them anyway.

I’d consider UC to be simply the platform where it will go the most visibly wrong.
