F/T Student with SDP – eligible for HB?

    I have a 19 year old full-time student, in receipt of PIP Daily Living Enhanced and PIP Mobility Standard and who’s only other income is Student Loan.
    Is he eligible for HB as in receipt of SDP, or must he make a claim for UC?

    If he doesn’t live specified or temporary accommodation, he cannot make a claim for HB.

    Also, unless he had a pre-existing determination of LCW when his course started, chances are he can’t claim UC either (there is no other obvious category of eligible student he would belong to).
