    Good Afternoon,

I have a case where a single claimant has 2x non deps who are both undertaking an apprenticeship.

We are unsure if we should be treating them as employed and including their income in the calculation or if they should be considered a full time student? They have provided proof of their enrollment at a local college.

    Thanks in advance.

For HB purposes, apprenticeships usually attract a non dep chaerge ( because the college part is part time only, and part time students still attract a non dep charge)

Council tax wise, it depends on what the salary/ amount they get paid as to whether the attract an apprentice disregard or not, think its no more than £195 per week
