Rent Inc and £15

    Rent was £93.73 which clmt gets with £15 top-up to £108.73 (LHA rate is £164.55). From 01/04/10 rent increases to £164.55 but r/inc cannot be considered for LHA purposes till anniversary due in 2011 and HB remains the same. Does the clmt get a straight £108.73 and the £15 disappears as opposed to £93.73 + £15 top-up from 01/04/10?.


    Yes I think so. It would only matter if the HB was being paid direct to the landlord and payment was being split. For that purpose I think the rent increase must be a change in circumstaces that affects the amount paid to whom…even though it does not affect the total entitlement.
