8 weeks in arrears

    We have an LHA claim which has taken 9 weeks to process (don’t ask!).

    The landlord has requested that payment be made direct as the claimant has arrears over 8 weeks.

    The only reason there are arrears is because it has taken so long to process the claim in the first place.

    Can we make the first payment to the landlord to clear the arrears then pay the claimant?


    Yes! Doesn’t matter what casued the arrears.
