    Hi

    I have been asked whether a person who is doing a TEFL course (teaching english as a foregin language) for a month will qualify for HB/CTB during this period.

    If he is classed as a student he wont be eligible but if the course is classed as training he wont be classed as a student for Hb/ctb purposes and so therefore would not be classed as a student.

    Any pointers?
