If I update the ISRCRTE parameter (with a start date of 1/4/13) now, is the system clever enough to continue taking this year's weekly amount until then, or do I need to wait until we've done the last payment runs of the year before increasing the recovery rates?

You need to wait until after the last payment runs or it will start taking the new rate straight away.

I had a bad feeling that that would be true. How (if at all) do you get round the problem that the year-end letters don’t show the correct recovery rate?

Are you sure that’s right? What’s the point of a date otherwise? If you override the recovery rate it will start happening straight away but this is a system parameter.

Strange but true, we spotted a few years ago that when we amended the rate it started taking it from the next payment run despite the date being set to 1st april.
Chrisb – when we go through the new year main billing calcs for HB, we set the new rate up so the letters have the right amount, then revert it back to the old rate until the last payment run has completed.

I have to say, it works OK for us. We updated our parameter at the beginning of February at it’s still taking the 2012/13 recovery figure. We’ve not had this issue in previous years
