Hi – Can anyone give me some advice? At the moment we have a number of assessment homeworkers who are members of the normal assessment teams – approx 2 homeworkers per team.

I have been given the task of looking at whether a whole team of homeworkers would be feasable with an office based team leader and 2/3 senior assessment officers for office based support.

Are there any offices in the South of England that currently have this set up or are working on it ? If so please e-mail

This has been proposed at my authority as well, we currently have home workers on each team in the same way as yourselves. While I have not been given the task of looking into this, I am worried mostly about creating a division between the home workers and the office based staff.

Can I ask if you have heard from anyone who has home worker sections and did it work?
