Is there a reg which says you cant appeal against the decision to suspend a claim.

I know there are no appeal rights but I cant find an actual reg to state this.

    Can anyone help?

There’s also no regulation to say you can’t decide to only pay housing benefit to left handed people πŸ™‚

You need to flip it around, there isn’t a regulation to say you have appeal rights against a decision to suspend, therefore you don’t!

What about HBR 83 para 4 – “A claim in writing” – sub para x – “must be made in a sinister manner” πŸ™‚

(p.s. Although suspension decisions don’t carry appeal rights, a claimant can make a complaint if they believe the suspension is inappropriate.)

There is a Reg – it’s in paragraph 5 of the Schedule to the HB & CTB (Decisions and Appeals) Regs 2001

It may be open to the Tribunal to JR it though.

Annual income twenty pounds, annual expenditure nineteen nineteen and six, result happiness. Annual income twenty pounds, annual expenditure twenty pounds ought and six, result misery. The blossom is blighted, the leaf is withered, the god of day goes down upon the dreary scene, andβ€”and in short you are for ever floored.
