When sending an appeal submission is it necessary to send a photocopy of the regulation(s) used or is it ok to just copy and paste the regulation into the submission? or are both needed?

    Thanks

I just include them in my submission (copy and pasted). I do however, provide a full copy of any commisioners decisions I’m relying on in the appendix.

I don’t think there is any rule either way. It would be fine to copy and paste the regs onto the submission. I usually just quote the sections relied on and give a summary of what they mean (leaving out bits not relevant to the case in question).
    For example

    Housing Benefit Regulations 2006
Regulation 86 – Person making a claim…shall furnish such evidence and documents as may reasonably be required by the relevant Authority to determine that persons continuing entitlement to benefit.

Just so long as the claimant knows what the regs require I think you will be fine.

Ah I didn’t realise that we could put the regulations into lamens terms. I was just leaving the claimants to understand the gobbledygook 😯
