Has anyone any idea which number is supposed to be used to indicate the LA interest on CIS

currently our staff use the LA-ID ETD CODE, but it was my understanding that they now have to apply a ATLAS code?

both numbers differ, which one should they apply?
Both cannot be used, so which one should be applied for a new claim?
    ATLAS or ETD
    any ideas?

Both CAN be used – you have to register the interest twice! (No comment)

But Chris when the officer does that it ends the one alredy there.
Ie if ATLAS on and then ETD registered an end date is applied on the ATLAS interest, and visa versa it ETD already on and then ATLAS registered an end date is applied to the ETD.
    :((

Does this help (these are our numbers) – an e-mail I sent to my staff

2 interests to maintain on CIS:

    1. Broadcast Office: 03670 Benefit System: Local Authority Interest: Housing Benefit/Council Tax Benefit

    2. Broadcast Office: 02732 Benefit System: ATLAS Interest: Local Authority Benefits

We don’t have any problems with it

    Ours are
    1. Broadcast Office: 00410 Benefit System: Local Authority Interest: Housing Benefit/Council Tax Benefit

    2. Broadcast Office: 03232 Benefit System: ATLAS Interest: Local Authority Benefits

but when you look at the details the one will have an end date on it!!

could it be the way the staff are inputing?

I dont access CIS myself so I have no idea.

I suspect they’re getting mixed up with the “interest” and I assume (but don’t know for sure) that if they’re using Housing Benefit/Council Tax Benefit when they should be using Local Authority Benefits they will run into problems. It’s as clear as mud on CIS because you get a drop down menu which offers you any combination of options!
