Having a really bad day, for some reason my brain has seized up as I’m having trouble finding the ‘blameless tenant’ regulations!

Can anyone point me in the right direction?

And am I right in thinking that this recovery action is not subject to appeal to the tribunal service?

Any help would be greatly appreciated as I’ve had a landlord screaming at me that the whole process is totally illegal and against his human rights! 😕

    Help!

Try Section 16 of the Social Security Administration (Fraud) Act 1997:

The landlord can appeal your decision to recover from him, but not the method of recovery. That, at least, is what the Schedule to the DAR says – there may be caselaw on the point of which I am unaware.
