According to DWP bulletin G11, the above case is in the pipeline. It seems from the bulletin that it is looking at how far the definition of a former partner extends.
We have an appeal in at the moment against a decision to diallow HB on the grounds that liability is to a former partner. The claimant’s argument is that her landlord is not her immediately former partner so it would seem that this case may be similar to ours.
