    Good morning…

Condition for childcare disregard is being in remunerative work. This is also OK for those on SSP or SMP for 28 weeks.

I know that those on SSP/SMP just get the standard earned income disregard (not the extra £14.50pw).

So if lone parent was previously working 18 hours, is now on SMP/SSP, we can still input childcare disregard (for up to 28 weeks), but only using disregard £25.00 (rather than £39.50).

    Is this correct?

    Thanks

    I am confused, Shakespeare.

What has the earned income disregard got to do with the childcare cost disregard?

    Yes childcare disregared ok
    Yes £25 disregard ok
But you are right not to put extra £14.50 (16 / 30 hour disregard in) 8)
