    I note that the system is down again since yesterday morning. No explanations yet. Anybody heard anything about what has caused it – possible day and time for it to be back?

    We are unable to contact our local DWP at all – their phones ring endlessly with no answer – same goes for their number for the public who are getting increasingly frustrated and taking it out on us (the local council). We can’t even get in touch with our local person who we have drawn our SLA up with!

    Are they on strike!? Are they at work? Has the DWP given up and gone home early?

    We received the following e-mail:

    PLEASE CASCADE TO ALL CIS USERS
    URGENT NOTICE

    CIS is going down at 9.45am today(6/10) for approx 40 minutes.
    Please do not access CIS before 10.30am.
    Please re-try after 10.30am and advise us of results via the LA ST mailbox(LA-ST@dwp.gsi.gov.uk)

    Followed an hour later by:

    We are aware that the problems with CIS have not been resolved.
    However some users are able to access and process records(albeit slowly).
    At this time our Service providers are recommending that you contunue to attempt access.
    It may be more productive if only 1 person accesses at a time.
    We will keep you advised of progress.
    If any LAs need ETD contingency action,bearing in mind that you will not receive anything before Monday,please e-mail the LA ST mailbox using ETD as the title and specifying the date from which you require ETDs.

    Yes seen those emails too. nothing since – that’s why I think that both our local DWP and LAST have gone home!

    It seems hit or miss today, although large portions of information are missing when we do get in. 😕

    We haven’t been able to get in again this morning (we have had no access since Thursday).

    We can’t get in either – have sent email to LAST as requested. Ah well – another day of trying to contact our local DWP. 😡

    It’s a load of poo! DWP are obviously overwhelmed by the number of people now accessing the system. It can’t have been spec’d properly (surely not)

    has anyone been able to download etd. have you tried to using old rat system – we still have our hardware and boss asked to post this to see state of play.
