    Hello

Wondering if someone can clarify something please. Im aware that the use of CIS is for the use of

administering HB/CTB, HB/CTB overpayment recovery or fraud investigation. It is not to be used for any other purpose.

Could CIS be accessed for debt recovery purposes for a council tax benefit overpayment? I thought that any overpayments of council tax benefit once posted to the respective council tax account are classed as arrears and therefore CIS access cannot be used for purposes of debt recovery of the Council tax account

    Any help would be appreciated

    Thanks

I’d agree, seems like you are suggesting to use CIS to aid recovery of CTAX, I’m pretty sure this is not allowed.
