Can I ask what procedure everyone is doing when Registering Interests?

Are staff automatically registering an interest when they have done a CIS search??

We went live on Monday and I have found that the training tool was pretty pointless as does not cover half of the queries I am getting from staff.

    Help would be appreciated.

Yep, every time we check a claim we make sure the indicators are set, often it won’t let you set the indicators though 😕

Yes – we too are checking that our interest is set on each one. However, as Will has discovered, most cases you cannot do this and LAST have advised me that this is an error (don’t know whenit will be corrected). So we have to send an LA17 – which is a pain.

    Thanks for that

one more thing when you Transfer a business interest does that create a new line with your LA on or overide the previous interest.

I must admit the guidance on the business interests is not very good. Are you all ending each interest when they come off HB/CTB?

Sorry to ask but I have been a one man band with this project, the word broom and handle comes to mind.

In that case Emma, I would be pleased to supply a little lubricant!! 😯

We are not ending the HB / CTB interest when Benefit stops, as they may well claim again in future.
My understanding, and the notes are bad in this area, is that unless you have a registered interest you will not get an ETD, which may be neccessary in the future. So we are just letting ours run. 8)

We don’t end our interests either (in case the claimant re-claims in future). However some of the claims where I have been unable to register an interest still produce an ETD, presumably from the previous DWP notification system 😕

    Thank you for that.
