Hi
We have had quite a few problems with the one offs but have finally agreed on the following:
1 = If the one off payment is part of the arrears we disregard this amount.
2= If the one off payment is in line with the regular payments (e.g. every Friday) but for a slightly different amount, we treating this as tax credit income for the appropriate period. We would only ignore this payment if it is for a very random amount or not in line with the regular payment frequency (e.g. every Friday)
3= If there is a one off payment that is the same date as the regular payments we disregard this amount
So with your example the regular payment of £55.75 is made on a Tuesday (24.11.09) and the one off payment of £55.36 is made on a Wednesday (18.11.09). I would ignore the one off payment and added the regular payment of £55.75 from 7 days prior to the payment. date.
