[quote:1f56eced01=”E Entwistle”]We are in discussion with our software supplier regarding when / if we report a CoC statistic when we include a non dep on a 65+ case. A10 is not that clear so I will be seeking guidance from the DWP but wondered what other authorities do / think should be done …
A10 implies report a 1 day CoC when non dep included as if it is an advance notification – [/quote:1f56eced01]
I would presume that you count this as an advance notification as the change to the benefit rate [i:1f56eced01]in relation to the non-dep deduction only[/i:1f56eced01] takes affect from a later date. This might not be applicable if the presence of the non-dep affects other areas of the claim such as loss of the Severe Disability Premium.
[quote:1f56eced01=”E Entwistle”]but what if you know there won’t be a change (eg customer gets DLA care) [/quote:1f56eced01]
As mentioned above, the presence of the non-dep may or may not affect other areas of the claim, so this might be what you need to claim a current (as opposed to an advance change) stat for.
[quote:1f56eced01=”E Entwistle”]or what if CTB changes now because SPD is removed, [/quote:1f56eced01]
I think this would be excluded from being reported as a stat as the claimant is not required to inform the relevant office of the change in liability.
[quote:1f56eced01=”E Entwistle”]or what if there isn’t a change eventually as the non dep moves out again or something….[/quote:1f56eced01]
I suppose it might be dependant on whether you claimed a stat in the first place. If you did not claim a stat for the moving in then you probably would not claim one for them moving out and vice versa.
[quote:1f56eced01=”E Entwistle”]Has anyone come up with any ideas re these possible scenarios?[/quote:1f56eced01]
I would stress that these are only ideas as stats are not my strong point. 😕
