Nothing much to do with benefits
We have a concessionary scheme available for users of leisure centres within the borough, where those in receipt of certain benefits are entitled to reduced charges.
There is little knowledge of this and as a result little take up. There also appears to be nothing in place to determine what information needs to be provided to prove entitlement to the concession (usual list; all income based benefits, unemployed, tax credits below a certain level of income etc)
On high want to address the issue, so have handed it down to benefits to sort out.
Does anyone have any experience of this area, any procedure notes, model forms etc etc they would be willing to share.
