    We have a couple who owned their own property,they were rehoused under a sheltered accomodation scheme as the husband is terminally ill very poorly blind/diabetic/both legs have been amputated.The accomodation was given on the understanding the wife would also move to care for her.She is j/s liable on the new house & soley liable on the owned property.

    Would she be exempt on the original property? an adult son is occupying the house

    On the face of it, I would argue that the wife is S or M Resident together with her husband in the sheltered accom and that the son, being resident in the original property would be the one to be held liable for that property. Unless I’ve missed something…
