I have awarded a DHP for Council tax on Northgate to 31.3.12.

    Claimant has now moved out.

This means that as with CTB there is a future DHP overpayment

Will this recover automatically like CTB or do I need to raise an invoice?

Once you’ve cancelled CTB DHP, you need to create manual adjustment as over. The overpayment will then be debited to Ctax a/c. You alos need to remove o/p from DHP screen so amount recovered will be added back to DHP fund.

    Ashok,

    Thank you

Do I just amend the DHP screen so that the OP shows as 0.00?

    Hi John,
That’s correct, once manual over has been raised, change o/s over to 0.00. System will increase the DHP fund by that amount so you can pay someone else. We use manual adj code as DHP so at year end we know not to include this in subsidy claim.

    Hi

This is the way we deal with CTB DHP OP’s. Technicaly we should do the MA, reduuce the DHP OP to £0.00 and raise an ivoice for the OP. However, this ends up leaving a posative balance on the CTAX Acc which our CTAX assessors want to pay back to the CL.

Oh for a good DHP system.
