Defective Claim decision and New Claim

    Where a claim is determined to be defective and the claimant has failed to remedy it within one calendar month (and no good reason given why) we advise the customer that their claim has been refused and of their right to appeal. We further advise that if they still wish to claim HB/CTB they are required to submit a new claim.

    We currently issue such customers with our full 28 page application form and are considering a shortened form for this situation to be sent out with the refusal decision notice.

    Do any other sites issue a shortened form in such a situation? If so, would you be prepared to share it with us?
