    Hi all,

We have a DHP overpayment from 2009-10. We are (hopefully) about to get repayment for this.

I am pretty sure the repaid DHP will go in to this year’s (2010-11) DHP ‘pot’.

Can anyone point me in the direction of where I can get confirmation of this. For example, regulations, circulars, guidance manuals, etc. I am struggling to find anything anywhere.

    Many thanks

Well it’s not actually written down anywhere but accountancy wise and subsidy wise you can’t do anything else. You can’t put a credit into a pot that has been “signed off”. The financial arrangements for the scheme are provided in CSPSSA 2000 s70 and allow the SoS to make payments which are claimed as a form of subsidy, so you claim for payments made in the year out of your permitted total and if you recover an overpayment it goes back in to be recycled in that year. By the same reasoning you don’t claim payments made into last year from last year’s pot do you (I hope)?
