I understand that DWP have given it some thought. It really is a bit bonkers in full service areas. The LA does not have the information it needs so has to wait until it gets this from DWP or the claimant and then has to be sure housing costs are in payment…..and that may change from month to month.

What used to be a quick and easy process has now become a long drawn out and costly admin process.

I doubt changes soon but from 2020 when the transfer will be well in place?

Still leaves pensioner claims but no real point in working age DHP claims being administered by local authorities in the long term.

    Certainly follow your logic Peter.

Guess i will just have to hope they really dont want the hassle?  removing the local knowledge that goes into making decisons? more new software and portals to test and then scrap and rebuild.

Or would it become a 'press button A' here's an extra £20 for 6 weeks.

Just imagine the effect on homelessness……………………

Has a member of the Judean Peoples Revolutionary Front got a job in the DWP so they can start riots?

Annual income twenty pounds, annual expenditure nineteen nineteen and six, result happiness. Annual income twenty pounds, annual expenditure twenty pounds ought and six, result misery. The blossom is blighted, the leaf is withered, the god of day goes down upon the dreary scene, and—and in short you are for ever floored.
