DHP spent over DWP contribution

    As an example lets say we have a DHP fund of £20,000 but an overall figure of £60,000.

    In the year we spend £35,000. We report this to the DWP.

    Should we then expect to get 100% of the excess (£15,000) back in the form of subsidy or 50% back i.e. 50p in the £. Or nothing back ?.

    You get nothing back above the DWP contribution. Your General fund has to cover the shortfall.
