    Quick question.

Does a dusability adaptation to a property have to be completed prior to a person moving into a property in order for them to be awarded four weeks prior to occupation?

If the adaptation cannot be utilised until complete, I can’t see how it can be argued that the delay in moving in was [u:ac71f21f36]for the purpose of the adaptation[/u:ac71f21f36].

In other words, the adaptation can’t just be incidental, it MUST be the reason for the delay in moving.

They could perhaps change their mind though. The claimant could originally put off moving in pending the completion of the work, but then think “this is dragging on far too long – I am just going to have to make do as best I can”. The reason for delay would still be disability adaptations

But that would suggest the adaptations weren’t “necessary”.
