    This is the DWP advisers’ guide to HB and CTB, and I was wondering if the print version is as woefully inaccurate and out of date as the online one is.

    According to this we should still making a student rent deduction, although not if the student is getting Guarantee Credit. We have contacted them to point out that the rent deduction had already been abolished when Pension Credit came in.

    It seems almost churlish to point out that everything is still cross-referenced to the pre-2006 regs as well! 😥

    Have they brought out a version since April 2006 yet? 🙄

    It is dated December 2005 so I guess it does not purport to be accurate much beyond that, but the rent deduction information is pretty poor.
