    Has anybody heard about the increase to the permitted earnings level from £81.00 to £86.00 in October 06 ? have we missed something!!.

    Yes the upper limit of earnings from permitted work is £86pw from this month. These earnings are not disregarded for HB/CTB purposes though (aside from the normal earnings disregard).

    Thank you for responding Andy – we had received correspondence from welfare rights quoting this – but we could not find in hb/ctb circulars – your answer explains it all.
