EPP query

    Hi,

    Can anyone help with the following scenario?

    This is a case where the partner (Mrs A) was in receipt of JSA(IB) for more than 26 weeks and it ceased due to her commencing work which was expected to last more than 5 weeks therefore an EPP was awarded to the claimant(Mr A). During th EPP period the claimant and partner split up and the partner (Mrs A) moved out and made a new claim in her own right at her new address.

    Does the entitlement to an EPP for Mr A end when Mrs A moves out or does he continue to be entitled to an EPP for the full 4 weeks?

    Obviously Mrs A doesn’t get to claim the remainder of the EPP at her new address because she has made a New claim.

    Any thoughts would be appreciated.

    Mr A’s entitlement to EP would not change, unless there is an increase when Mrs A moved out, in which case you should pay the higher amount.
