Anyone seen the preview of the 2011/12 subsidy claim form, in particular cell 108 which is collecting details of expenditure on exempt accommodation? If I’m reading this right it would appear that a [i:b0636c1cfb]new[/i:b0636c1cfb] definition of EA is to be announced, taking effect from October 2011.

Any guesses as to what it will be?

I understood that DWP were to carry out a review of exempt accommodation and the increasing costs. Does anyone know what has become of this.

It was suspended during the General Election but I gather that the group has reconvened since.

Early policy trends for social care from the new administration suggest that the supported housing model with increased choice/personalisation of services will continue – a bit of a drip feed of info though, and things could be blown apart on Oct 20th when available funding is announced…
