    Hi

The answer is probably simple but we have a difference of opinion in the office.

We have a claimant who starts work and entitled to extended payment. On the date he starts work he also leaves the household and does not make a new claim, but the partner makes a new claim in her own right on the date that the extended payment ends.

We have doubts over the overall scenario, but our question is, if he has left the household is he still entitled to the Extended Payment as he is no longer resident.

    many thanks

There should not be a doubt, the answer is no.

He might be entitled! BUT…only if he is liable for rent at another address (in or out of the LA area) and NOT for the address he has vacated.

    thanks everyone

No he has not reclaimed elsewhere, and we think it is a fictious collusive desertion but thats another story.
